Going to campus? Here is what you need to know

Writer’s note: Please kindly note that all the information mentioned in this article is to provide you with a general overview of test centers and labs in Morocco. Prices and procedures may vary depending on the context and the circumstances. We would best advise you to call them before going to the test center.

Considering the preventive measures undertaken by AUI, students allowed on campus are required to provide a negative PCR test not exceeding 48 hours. For many students, this experience is indeed novel, living in an unprecedented situation.

For starters, all students allowed on campus must read thoroughly all emails and documents sent by the administration and sign wherever needed. In case of any confusion, it is best recommended to email Adel Kamane at a.kamane@aui.ma or to contact the Student Government Association (SGA) at sga@aui.ma.

For newcomers, it is important to print your registration invitation and respect the date and time slot assigned by AUI. If anything seems unclear, we advise you to reach out to student ambassadors or post your questions on the Facebook group created for this purpose.

For students coming from Zone 2, they will need to provide an authorisation from their local authorities, allowing them to travel to Ifrane.

Second, find a testing center near you. We would like to remind you that you will have to provide the authorities and the security at the main gate a negative test administered for no less than 48hrs. Parents and legal guardians are not required to provide one.

It is important to note that the administration is still working on viable solutions for cities that do not provide PCR tests.

Finally, don’t forget to sign the COVID-19 pledge and read carefully the instructions. You are required to download the Wiqaytna app and inform the Health Center of any suspect cases or symptoms. For additional information about AUI’s Fall 2020 strategy, you can refer to more articles in the section “News“.

For some, finding a test center must have been really hard. We thus have gathered some information and suggestions that might be of help to you.
